Alexandre Pantoja is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist who began competing in the flyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), in 2017. As of March of 2021, he was ranked number 3 in the UFC flyweight rankings. He had started his professional mixed martial arts career in July 2007 and had amassed a 14-2 win-loss record competing in local and regional promotions in Brazil such as Hikari Fight, Rocinha Fight, Watch Out Combat Show, Shooto Brazil, WFC, Fatality Arena, and MMA Fight Show. In 2014, he had moved to the United States and had joined Resurrection Fighting Alliance. He had clinched the RFA Flyweight Championship in December 2014. In August 2015, at AXS TV Fights: RFA vs. Legacy FC 1, he had won the inaugural AXS TV Flyweight Superfight Championship, extending his professional mixed martial arts career win-loss record to 16–2. Thereafter, he had been invited to compete in The Ultimate Fighter: Tournament of Champions in 2016, an installment of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)-produced reality TV series The Ultimate Fighter. He had reached the semi-final of tournament and had soon been signed up by UFC, competing in his first bout for the promotion in January 2017. He holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

- In May 2016, Alexandre had been announced as one of the 16 contestants for the year’s season of The Ultimate Fighter: Tournament of Champions. He was drawn to face Brandon Moreno in the pre-quarterfinal stage of the competition and had defeated him via submission (rear-naked choke) in the 2nd round. He had then overcome Kai Kara-France in the quarter-final before losing to Hiromasa Ougikubo in the semi-final.
- In December 2020, he was scheduled to face promotional newcomer Manel Kape at UFC Fight Night 183. However, he had withdrawn from the bout in early December for undisclosed reasons. The fight was rescheduled to February 2021, at UFC Fight Night 184. Alexandre had won the fight via unanimous decision.
- In August 2021, at UFC on ESPN 29, he had defeated Brandon Royval via rear-naked choke in the second round. He had won his second ‘Performance of the Night’ award at UFC for this bout. He was then set to compete for the UFC flyweight title. However, a knee injury had forced him out of it.
